My Confession of Victory

I may be tired today, things may not look their best, the circumstances may be overwhelming, but what in the world has that to do with anything. I am not moved by what I feel I am not moved by what I see. I do not consider how I feel. I do not consider what I see. My eyes are on the word of God. My eyes are on God. And it is in him that I live and move and have my being. I am a vast storehouse of power in Christ my king. I am the body of Christ and I cannot be defeated. If I am defeated, the body of Christ is defeated.

The only way the devil can stop me is if I quit, and I promise you I will never quit. So look out Satan, I rule and reign in life by one Christ Jesus. Yea in all things, I am more than a conqueror.

I have taken my rightful place seated with Christ in heavenly places far above all powers and principalities and might and Dominion.  I am doing the works of Christ. I am healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out Devils. Freely I have received and freely I give. I am trusting in the Lord with all my heart, leaning not to my own understanding. My thinking is not important, but my believing is. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God.

I believe he was raised from the dead to justify me. I confess him as my Lord my physician and my king. Nothing is impossible with me. Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible with me, for Jesus said all things are possible unto them that believe. And I am a believer. I am not a doubter. I know the word of God is faithful and it is true. There is no devil they can break me. There is no power that can overtake me. For I have the name of Jesus that name that’s above every name and at that name, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the father.

Now I feel like shouting hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. I feel good, yes I feel good. I feel good because I let my body know that I am the boss. I reign in life by one Christ Jesus. This is how I reign, I declare that I the real me, the man on the inside is the boss. Now flesh you are under. Stinking thinking you are defeated. I am blessed!!!!

The new Covenant: God’s Part and Man’s Part

A Covenant is a contract or an agreement. They are similar to contracts that people use when entering into business relationships. Every contract, agreement, or covenant involves at least two parties. All of the parties involved normally sign a contract signifying that they will keep their side of the agreement.
When discussing our Biblical covenant, the two parties are God and I. God has already completed his part through Jesus and the cross. Now it is up to man to complete his part he will then have the promises made in the covenant. Hebrews 8:6 “. . . Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” God will always fulfill His side of the covenant. If we do not receive the promises, the problem is never on God’s side! 2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen (Amen means, so be it),”

As for as God is concerned, Jesus has paid the price for salvation for every Man. 1 John 2:2 “And he (Jesus) is the propitiation (or atonement) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” Now it is up to each man to do his part.

I was praying for a man who came to the altar and wanted to be saved. The man was kneeling and praying “God, Please save me. God, please save me. God, please save me. After several minutes, I stopped the man and told him that he did not have to beg God. God has already said yes to all of his promises. James 1:17,  “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” …

God has done his part now it is up to you to do your part. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The man did his part and the Joy of the Lord filled his heart.

Confession: I believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my lord. Thank God I am saved

God’s Unconditional Love

Many of the blessings that God promised are conditional.  There are things that you have to do and condition that you have to meet to qualify for these blessings. God promises a mansion in heaven if you meet certain conditions.  He also promises a bed in hell if you meet other conditions.  Success is guaranteed. Once you meet the conditions, it is yours. You cannot fail. Failure is also guaranteed when you meet other conditions. Other blessings from God are unconditional.

God’s love is Unconditional. God loves you unconditionally regardless of who you are or what you do.

Rom 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hell is full of people that God loves. Jesus loved the people of Jerusalem and he cried over them knowing that they would be destroyed.

Matt 23:37   O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

God sent Jerusalem a prophet; they killed him. He sent other prophets and they killed them. God sent his son. They killed his son yet God never stopped loving them.

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

The greatest truth that I have found is “God Loves Me.”

Confession:  Ye thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil because my Father God Loves me.

May God Richest and best be yours,

I Partake of God’s Nature

By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:4 NKJV)

When a Christian truly comprehends that he or she has the divine life and nature of God, that individual will act like God and will experience abundant life. His love, His nature, and his ability are mine as I reign in life by one Jesus Christ.

The nature of a hog is to wallow in mud.  Before you made Jesus your Lord, you had a sinful nature that came with a tendency for sin and immoral desires. The nature of a man who is not a born again Christian is to act like the devil. However, when you were born again, you were given a completely new and divine nature. Oh, Thank God I am born again. I am a new Creation in Christ; a brand new man.

The nature of a Christian is to love. Believers were first called Christians at Antioch. They were called Christians because they acted like Jesus Christ. Jesus Said, “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples because you love one another.

When you start hanging out with God. His nature will rub off on you. Your nature will be “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

I am going to give you the best advice that I have ever given you.  Hang out with Christians. Stay away from fools. If you hang out with a fool long enough, you will be a fool. Birds of a feather flock together.  Some of you reading this blog need to get new friends. You will not experience God’s best until you do.

All creatures act in accordance with their nature. The choice is yours to believe you have this nature and to act on it or listen to the devil who will tell you that you are a sinner. If you are born again, you are not a sinner. You are a saint. The Bible calls all Christians saints.

Confession: I have the life and nature of God. I am a new creation I am a brand new man. Old things have passed away. I am born again.

May God Richest and best be yours,

Be Angry, And Do Not Sin

Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:26-27  NKJV)

One of the most important things in living an overcoming life is “do not give the devil any place in your life”. We open the door for the devil to come into our lives and this keeps us from receiving God’s best blessings when we allow anger and wrath to remain in us. It is not a sin to get mad. It is a sin when we allow it to remain overnight.  Therefore, we are not to let a day go by without cleansing our hearts from all anger and hard feelings that we have, against anyone no matter how mean or hurtful they may have been to us.

Someone may have wronged you. The size of the hurt does not matter; even the smallest offense can become an obstacle to your faith and the power of God working in your life. That is why it is so important that we learn to forgive.

Jesus said, “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses” (Mark 11:24-25 NKJV).

The Bible is clear on this subject your faith will not work when you fail to forgive and walk in love. Faith works by love.

So make a decision today to forgive, and walk in love. Keep the door closed on the devil. “Do not give place to the devil and the blessings of God will flow in your life in a new and exciting ways.

Thought for today:

Never open the door and let the devil in.

Confession: Father, I ask You to search my heart and reveal to me any unforgiveness, anger, or resentment that I have for anyone. As an act of faith, I forgive everyone who has wronged me. From this day forward I will forgive, and to walk in love toward others.

May God’s richest and best be yours,

God Is For Me

Are you faced with challenges in your life right now? Do you know what God wants you to say? He wants you to say, “If God is for me, who can be against me?” (Romans 8:31-32)

Knowing that God is for you gives you the hometown advantage.

When a football team plays at home, they have an advantage because of all their fans and friends watching from the grandstand cheering them on. Just knowing that they have all those fans for them causes them to push a little harder. They put everything that they have in it.  They are determined that they will never give up and they will never quit.

Hebrews 12:1 (TLB)  Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down . . . and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.  . .

The writer of Hebrews had just written about all the great men of faith that have gone on before. He said they are in the grandstand of heaven cheering us on.  Just knowing that my dad, my granddad, my pastor and all those who have gone on to heaven are in the grandstand cheering me on gives me a determination to go on and finish my race. Not only are my loved ones for me but most important of all, God is for me!

One day Stephen was preaching and he looked up and said I see Jesus standing at the father’s right hand.  Jesus was not seated in the grandstand; he was on his feet he was cheering Stephen on.  When Stephen looked up and saw Jesus on his feet cheering him on he was not about to stop until he crossed the finish line.

I Believe when that prodigal son decides to come home, when that man or women who once walked with God but has been tempted of the devil and gone back into sin; When they make that decision, “ I’m going back to the father’s house” I believe the grandstand in heaven is full and no one is sitting. Everyone is on their feet cheering them on. Listen to me, friend. Your grandmother, your mother, all your love-ones who have gone on to be with the Lord are on your side, they are for you. Jesus is on his feet cheering you on He is for you. God is for you, and if God be for you there are not enough devils in hell to hold you back. There is nothing in this world to hold you back. If God be for you then who can be against you.

If God is for you right now, you do not have to moan, “If only I had this…If only I didn’t say that…” You do not have to worry about the future: “What if this happens…What if we don’t have enough…”

Regretting the past and worrying about the future will not change anything. Look to your heavenly Father instead. Because He is for you, you can be confident that He will help you and provide for you.

 Thought for the Day

All blessings are yours today because God is for you! God is on your side!

Confession: Father, I believe You are for me and not against me. I will be courageous. I will keep the faith and finish my course.  I cannot be defeated and I will never quit. God is for me and it makes no difference who is against me.

May God’s richest and best be yours,

Lanier Martin

    Choose Life

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. (Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV)

In this world, you can experience life and blessing, or you can deal with death and cursing. The decision in yours.

The Bible tells us clearly it is our choice to receive either life or death, blessing or cursing. Then he tells us which one to choose. He said, “Choose life.”

Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Every blessing God has provided for us in Jesus is contingent on our decision to receive it. When Jesus asked a sick man In John 5, will you be made well?  He had a choice. He could say yes, he could say no, but what he said was I can’t. He said I have no one to put me in the pool. Jesus had to get the man’s eyes off the circumstances and on to him. Then the man was healed.

I do not know what challenge you may be facing today. You may be dealing with a health issue, a financial need, or the enemy may be trying to destroy your family. Remember that Jesus has already fought this battle for you. Now all you have to do is simply make the decision to win.

My advice?  Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.  However, no one can make that decision for you.  What you do with the gift of life that God has given you is really up to you.  How you live your life will reveal your decision. Of all the decisions you have to make in life, none is more important than this.  Life is short, precious, and sweet and you can choose how to live each day. The choice is yours.

The choice is obvious, but the choice is still yours.

Sometimes we cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond and that gives us actual power and control over a situation.

Confession: I choose today to receive Life. I choose to receive God’s blessing. I am making the decision to walk in the light of life. I am making the decision to win.

May God’s richest and best be yours,

    Condemnation

Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 AMP)

The devil uses guilt and condemnation in an attempt to drive a wedge between you and God so that he can keep you from walking in the love of God. The Holy Spirit will certainly convict us when we need to change something, but that is far different from condemnation.

When the Holy Spirit convicts us, we must repent. The word repent in the Bible means, “to change one’s mind” and this involves a turning from sin. It is as if you headed out for a drive down the freeway but you went down the wrong way and are now headed in the wrong lane and the traffic is now coming straight at you. You need to turn around and go the other way. That is what “repent” basically means. You are headed down the wrong way…the way to destruction …and you need to change your mind and turn around and go the other way.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) When God forgives us, we must forgive ourselves and go on with our lives. If we do not forgive ourselves the devil will lie and say things like “you are such a failure … God will never forgive you for what you did … you deserve just what you got … you’ll never amount to anything.” When the devil comes telling you these lies, Just say “I plead the blood that was shed on Calvary.”
Those who live under this kind of guilt and condemnation will often cease to trust in the blood of Jesus as the only means to come to God and receive His love, His grace, and His acceptance. If you allow it, condemnation will cause you to focus on your failures. It will rob you of your confidence in God, making Him seem distant and cold.

Tell the devil you will no longer accept his lies and condemnation.

Confession: God has forgiven me and I have forgiven myself. Now I am the righteousness of God in Christ. A brand new creation in Him.

May God’s richest and best be yours,

    Forgive

I am sure every one of you has been wronged at one time or another. Because of this, we all have a decision to make. We can either hold a grudge against this person and let it keep us in bondage the rest of our life, or we can forgive them and keep living in God’s best blessings.

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” (Colossians 3:13, KJV).

You may have made the wrong choice and have hurt feelings about what this person has done to you. However, it is never too late to let it go and make the choice to forgive.

You cannot expect to receive God’s greatest and best blessings or your faith to work until you forgive and let go. Give it all to God. “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.” (Galatians 5:6 KJV). Do not pick up that load of anger, resentment, hurt, shame, guilt or whatever it may be that you have been struggling with.

It is not easy to forgive when someone has treated you badly or abused you in some way, but it is necessary. We have no choice if we want to fellowship with The Heavenly Father.
You do not have to suffer the rest of your life for past mistakes you have made or for other’s past mistakes. Guess what, your past does not have to be your future. God forgives and restores. Now You do the same!

Confession: I choose to forgive. I now let go of every grudge, hurt feeling, person or situation completely. I forgive by faith and by an act of my will and refuse to let my feelings influence me. I am free.

May God’s richest and best be yours,

    Lanier Martin
